Sony has recently launched a disc player — BDP-S560 that delivers Full HD True Cinema video over HDMI and can upscale our standard DVDs to near HD quality. While compatible with most home wireless routers, this Blu-ray Disc player also supports Wi-Fi protected set-up (WPS) for a quick and easy connection to WPS enabled wireless routers.
This Blu-ray Disc player supports both internal decoding and bit stream output of enhanced audio codecs, including Dolby TrueHD and dts HD Master Audio. These HD audio formats deliver “lossless” surround sound with 7.1 channels of discrete audio for uncompromised sound. This disc player also offers user-friendly menus, controls and user settings with the Sony exclusive Xross Media Bar interface. Moreover with the support of Quick Start mode, users can begin operating the Blu-ray Disc player approximately six seconds from the time it’s powered on.
This device also features photo streaming functionality, which allows users to wirelessly stream digital photos from your PC or other Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) enabled device to the Disc player, so that they can easily view photos on your HDTV.
